Obituary for Anthony Perito
Anthony Perito, 79, of Middletown NJ passed away with his family by his side on June 17th, 2022.
Born in Brooklyn NY, Anthony lived for many years in Staten island where he worked as a bus operator for New York City Transit Authority. Married in 1981 to his wife of 40 years, Diane (Dickmann) the two settled in Middletown NJ with their children.
Anthony is predeceased by his parents Phyllis and Tony Perito, sisters Elaine Bardell and Cookie Oliva.
He is survived by his wife Diane, children Doreen Babis and husband Bill, Karen Aiello and husband LeRoy, Jessie Perito-Gilmore and husband Billy, Tony Perito and wife Amanda, and grandchildren Julia, Billy, Daniel, Caroline, Penelope, Adrian, and Sienna.
A proud veteran of the US Navy, Anthony loved hunting and golf, and was a dedicated little league coach in both softball and baseball for Middletown Babe Ruth. He enjoyed volunteering as both a coach and a groundskeeper at McMahon Park. Above all Anthony loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 21st from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home in Middletown NJ. A mass of Christian burial will take place Wednesday June 22nd at The Church of St. Catherine Laboure in North Middletown at 9:30am. Interment to follow at General Doyle Cemetery in Wrightstown.
