Obituary for Barbara Gallagher
Barbara Gallagher (Mikulak) 82, of Middletown NJ passed away on July 23rd.
Born and raised in Jersey City NJ, Barbara met the love of her life Peter P. Gallagher Sr and were married in 1961. The two settled their family in Middletown NJ, where they raised four children. Barbara volunteered and then worked for the Middletown School District, before becoming a civilian employee at Fort Monmouth as an inventory specialist until her retirement.
Barbara is predeceased by her loving husband Peter and their son Peter Jr. She is survived by her children Brian and wife Darlene, Kevin and wife Susan, Karen and husband Andy, and daughter in law Debra and her husband Fred. Her siblings Joan, John (Anna) and Richard (Joanne); twelve grandchildren, and four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara loved reading, gardening, traveling, and above all spending time with family. She will be missed by all.
Barbara will be reposing at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home in Middletown NJ on Wednesday July 27th from 4-8pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday July 28th at St. Mary Mother of God Church. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
