Obituary for Daniel Thomas Scott

Daniel Thomas Scott, the son of William F. Scott Jr. and Theresa Scott, was abruptly summoned to heaven Wednesday night, February 19, 2020. Daniel was born on November 21, 1959 in Long Branch, New Jersey. When Daniel was born, he had one older brother, William F. Scott III. He would eventually welcome into the world three younger brothers who were born successively after him, Richard A. Scott, Steven A. Scott and James A. Scott.

With the gentle help of his friend Mark Eidson, Daniel met the love of his life, Robin Lee Eidson. It was love at first sight and the two of them married soon afterwards. Daniel and Robin shared a house together in Belford, New Jersey and eventually moved to Batesburg Leesville, South Carolina, where they raised their two children, Jessica L. Scott and Daniel T. Scott Jr.

Prior to moving to South Carolina, Daniel worked as a Master Carpenter in the Carpenter's Union in New York. His work adorns the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration to this day. After Daniel and Robin moved to the South, Daniel started his own carpentry business and specialized in kitchen cabinets. His work can be found in several of his family's homes and many more homes and businesses scattered throughout New Jersey and South Carolina.

Daniel was a fighter of major illnesses. During his lifetime he battled Cardio Myopathy, Bundle Branch Blockage, Quadruple Bypass Surgery, Stage Four Cancer and Parkinson's Disease, all of which eventually forced him out of the workshop, but not out of the fight. Unfortunately, it was an automobile crash of unknown causes that passed Daniel along to heaven.

During Daniel's hard earned years, his children gave him five grandchildren who were truly the joy of his life. Chronologically they are Regan, Emma, Leighton, Eli and Natalie. Now, with all of his heavenly love, he will spend the rest of their lives being their guardian angel.

Daniel was welcomed into heaven, just as he was when he was born on earth, by mother, father and older brother. He was predeceased by his parents, William F. Scott Jr. and Theresa Scott as well as his older brother William F. Scott III.

He is loved dearly by his surviving family and will be truly missed by all who knew him, family and friends.

Daniel will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Rt 35 Middletown, New Jersey 07748 on Tuesday February 25, 2020 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday February 26, 2020 at 10am.
