Frank Lenge Jr., 93 of New Monmouth, NJ passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2018. Residing in Middletown for over 60 years, Frank was originally from Bergen County where he married the love of his life Mildred Maggio Lenge. He loved to dance, sing and play many musical instruments. Frank was a Teamster, retiring from Eazor Express Trucking and also worked as a Special Police Officer for Middletown Township for many years. He was proud to have worked with members of the New Jersey State Police ABC Enforcement Unit in Holmdel, NJ for many years after his retirement.
Frank served in the United States Army during World War II and served in Rhineland Central Europe where he was awarded The American Campaign Medal, European Theater of Operations Medal with 2 Bronze Battle Stars, Distinguished Service Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, and an Honorable Discharge. He was a life long member of Middletown VFW Post 2179.
Frank was predeceased by his wife Mildred, his two oldest sons Frank DiNero, Paul DiNero and daughter in law Tammy Lenge. He is survived by his sons John and Joseph Lenge. His daughter in laws Joanne DiNero, Peggy DiNero and Susan Lenge. His grandchildren Jennifer DiNero, Christopher and Erin DiNero, Brian DiNero, Paul and Jessica DiNero, Kathleen and Daniel Eastmond, Michael and Jennifer DiNero, Anne DiNero, Nicole Lenge, Danica Lenge, and HollyAnne Lenge. His great grand children Samantha Chiafullo, Dominic and Vincent DiNero, Jackson, Sophia and Charlotte DiNero, and Katelyn Brink and Devyn Eastmond. He loved and adored his family and is cherished by all. He will be dearly missed and celebrated always.
Frank will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Rt. 35, Middletown, NJ 07748 on Thursday December 13, 2018 from 2 - 4pm & 7 - 9pm. A service will be held at the Funeral Home Friday morning December 14, 2018 at 9:30am. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
