Obituary

John “Ol’Bluyz” Esposito went home peacefully on 01/11/2019 in Red Bank NJ at the age 72.

John is survived by his wife Angela, sister-in-law Gina his 3 sons Christian, Justin & John and his daughter in laws, Catherine, Heather & Jennifer along with the apples of his eye his beloved grandchildren Beau, Dominic, Rocco, Delaney, Gianna, Gianni, Grayson & Nolan.

John Esposito would be known by many for so many things, which would be too many to list, but if there was one thing that could sum up his life in a song that spoke to the person he was, it would be this:

One of the songs most requested for “Ol’Bluyz” was by Louis Armstrong “What a wonderful world” and his quote was “Love baby, love. That’s the secret, yeah. If lots more of us loved each other, we’d solve lots more problems. And then this world would be better. That’s wha’ ol’ Pops keeps saying.

Well it is certain John did more than his fair share with a heart that was so big he had the capacity to truly show the true meaning of love to all he came across. If only each of us could give a fraction of the love he had for everyone and for God, this place on earth would be a lot more like heaven. May we all learn from this great man and do our fair share as well, so we all can make a change for the better. That’s what he would want for all us to take away from the wonderful life he lived to the fullest.

A viewing is scheduled for Monday January 14th at Evergreen Funeral Home in Middletown NJ from 2-4 and 7-9, with the Funeral service to be held at Evergreen on Tuesday January 15th at 10:30am Please join us in celebrating John’s life in his last performance!

To John's Family,
I worked with John when he sang with the Jazz Lobsters.. They were very good years. He was great to work with, fun, and treated everybody great. That was His Way. Frank Sinatra paid musicians double scale -John would've paid triple and not bragged about it. He's flyin' to the moon now, but whenever there's a summer wind, I will think of Espo and smile....I will play with you again, brother..........., that's all...

John, I saw you recently on 12/12/18 not realizing it would be my last time seeing you live in person. I spoke with you on the phone this past Wednesday and here I am writing on your memory wall.
We had a very good friendship over 35 years. I'm happy that you followed my little nudge and advice to get back into what you loved , and that was to sing and perform. As it turned out you were really good.
I'll miss you, hopefully God has plans for us to meet again in my distant future.
And don't worry about the water, your family is in good hands. Who loves you baby..

It's not "Goodbye", it's "See Ya Later"... John Esposito, you were very easy to love. You are already missed, but it was soooo good to know you for the few years we did... Loved this song you wrote about you future address!
