Obituary

Joseph P. Davis – 74 of Atlantic Highlands passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 24, 2019 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. Joseph was born in Elizabeth, NJ on April 14, 1944. After graduating high school he was drafted in the United States Army where he served his country and left Honorably Discharged. When Joseph returned he met his wife Regina and they were married for 50 wonderful years. Joseph worked for the United States Postal Service as a Postal letter carrier for 45 years. Joseph is the beloved husband to Regina. He is the devoted father of Joseph, James, Jerrold, Jeffrey, and John. Joseph is the loving brother of William. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Joseph loved fishing and watching baseball. His favorite team was the NY Yankees and he would always love telling people how great he thought Ted Williams was. Joe loved his family very much and always enjoyed being around all his family especially his grandchildren whom he loved very much and he will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Joseph will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Route 35, Middletown, NJ 07748 on Wednesday January 30, 2019 from 2 – 4pm & 7 – 9pm. Interment and service to follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 1pm.

My deepest condolences to Regina and all the boys. I always looked forward to running into Joe and having some long winded chats. he was a very interesting man to talk to weather we talked about fishing , raising our family’s or our knowledge of the best kielbasa meat markets in linden nj. he was a great guy and will be misssed deeply by all who knew him. I still remember the recipe he gave me for cabbage soup. Till we meet again Buddy. R.I.P.

Joe was my coworker at the Elizabeth Post Office. He was a dedicated letter carrier and all around nice guy. Joe was also a proud member of National Association of Letter Carriers Union Branch #67. My sincere condolences to his family. In sympathy, Stacy Drootin

Joe Was a good man he loved you Regina. He loved the family. Even through is illnesses it was always out there working and never complaining we were blessed to know him as your neighbors and became life long friends.. many prayers. May light perpetual shine upon him
