Mildred Marie (Chermark) Valentine

June 2, 1930 - January 4, 2019

"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room in Heaven." Our mom

exemplified that sentiment. She was a tireless volunteer for 33 years with A.R.C. and was a member of the Human Rights Board at Woodbridge Developmental Center. Mom sheltered over 30 foster children, many of whom were disabled. In addition to raising her family, she raised 5 puppies for the Seeing Eye. Mom, quite simply, was a "giver" who never wanted or expected anything in return.

She was predeceased by our dad, William H. Valentine" and her son, Steven Valentine. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Peter) Estrada, Chrisann (Jerry) Feltz, Alison (Keith) Goldman, and son, William (Barbara) Valentine III. Mom is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Our family would like to thank the staff of Hearthstone Estates, especially Kathy, Mimi, Diana and Mona for their loving and compassionate care.

In keeping with mom's wishes, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in mom's name can be made to your favorite charity or, simply, DO A GOOD DEED FOR SOMEONE!
Rest in peace, Mom ... your room is ready for you.

And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Revelation 21:4

My sincere sympathy to the family of Mildred Valentine. May Jehovah God, who consoles the brokenhearted and comforts those who mourn, sustain you during this time of sorrow( Isaiah 61: 1,2). Jehovah God promises a resurrection, as noted at John 5:28. Also may you find comfort in the memories of your loved one.
