Nivia Separovich, 75, passed away on January 30, 2019 at Hackensack Meridian Health Bayshore Medical with family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Carlos Separovich, after 35 years of marriage. She is survived by her four children and spouses, Marcia Separovich of Sayreville, NJ, Carlos “Bob” and Zenilde Separovich of South River, NJ, Richard and Jaqueline Separovich of Port Monmouth, NJ and Michael and Michelle Separovich of Port Monmouth, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan Separovich, Michael Nelson Separovich, Emily Fernandes, Victoria Fernandes, Jessica L. Separovich, Michael Separovich Jr. and Mary A. Separovich.
Nivia was born in Sao Paulo, Brasil and became a U.S. citizen in the 1960’s, thereafter spending most of her time residing in South River, NJ; she always kept her love of Brasil alive though her friends, food and music. Each of her Grandchildren had the luxury of being cared for by their Grandmother in their younger years, and she leaves each of them with the gift of fond memories of time spent drawing, sewing, cooking and baking. She was not only a Mother to her own children, but she cared for and looked over many others as well. With a love of life and travel, Nivia was always up for an adventure, the one to say “Let’s Go!” wherever you were going. She will be profoundly missed and joyfully remembered by the many who will love her forever.
A private memorial service will be held at a future date.
