Obituary

Ruth Elizabeth Emmons Williamson Rose, 01/28/1921 to 04/27/2020, past into eternal life on Monday, April 27.

Ruth, the daughter of Minnard and Sarah Emmons was married to the love of her life, Harry A. Williamson and together they raised 3 daughters, Jean Garfinkle, Joan Madison (Roy) and Patricia Kelly until Harry’s untimely death in 1964. Ruth was a stay at home mom, becoming active in her children’s lives. She was a PTA President at Leonardo Elementary School and Middletown North H.S. In addition, she was a Girl Scout Troop Leader in River Plaza, United Methodist Church Red Bank circle leader as well as working in the church nursery just to name a few of her many activities.

Ruth eventually met and married Marvin A. Rose. They travelled for several years through Germany while Marvin was stationed there with the US Army.

After their return they lived in Schenectady, NY before returning to her beloved New Jersey. Ruth’s passing leaves a hole in the lives and hearts of her daughters as well as her grandchildren, Randy, Raymond and Jamie Nicholas, Erik Garfinkle, Tracy Whitt (Chris), Troy Madison (Tara). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and her dear friend and guardian angel, Margaret Smith.

Services will be held at a later date

To honor her love of animals, donations may be made to Monmouth County SPCA (260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724).
