Obituary

Thomas E. Monigan - 65 of Middletown, NJ passed away suddenly on August 14, 2020. Thomas was born on September 14, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY. After graduating from Ft. Hamilton High School, he met his wife Noreen. They lived in Brooklyn, NY before raising their family in Middletown, NJ. Thomas worked in the elevator industry for 40+ years in various roles. Thomas is predeceased by his parents Edward and Elizabeth Monigan, as well as his Godfather Walter. Thomas is the beloved husband to Noreen for 42 years. He is the devoted father to Nicole and her husband Vincent and Jon and his wife Erin. Thomas is survived by his grandchildren Abigail, Leah, Evan, Eliza, and Ryan. He really had a joy for life. Some of the things Thomas loved were the Mets, golf, fishing, taking his family to different restaurants, barbecuing with family and friends, traveling on vacations, and watching his grandchildren play sports. He will truly be missed.

Thomas will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Rt 35, Middletown, NJ 07748 on Tuesday August 18, 2020 from 4 - 8pm. Interment will be on Wednesday Morning at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.

I worked with Tom some years ago when he worked for Thyssenkrupp. He was a really great guy and always seemed happy. I have not seen or spoken to him in such a long time, but I have never forgotten about him. May his family and loved ones find strength and comfort in each other during this very sad time.
